If you are double fisting, you may have an addiction! Great fish bud! Harass ya later!

The 'gills in this lake are just roaming free. They are all over the place in the water column. Roaming fish are usually the bigger ones we find, also the most aggressive. Late-ice we find them in 10' of water riding with their backs nearly touching the ice...

Our gills here don't seem to suspend quite that much.

Daniel, if you look, my arms are bent. Just great fish and a great angle from the camera-man. ;) These came from 21' of water, and they were 2-3 feet off bottom. We've been fishing an area between 21' and 33' of water, and the fish are riding anywhere from 17-21' down.

Hey Matt...where were these guys in the water column and how high off the lake bottom? And the crappie?

I have been catching gills at a local lake from 12 to 18 inches above the lake floor and the crappie are suspending higher.
