No objections at all. Have at it and let me know of your success. I've been tying this pattern in all sorts of color combos since last year, about mid 08.
I have had a great amount of luck with many of the colors.
I also tie these with about 8 to 10 turns of .020 lead.
Take a look at the Olive BC, red ice body. I also tie a Olive BC, light brown ice body.
Play around with the patterns and I am sure you'll have great success. Don't hesitate to write if you need any more info.

This looks to be a fun tie and effective pattern. Would you object to my tying up a bunch for the spring crappie? I'll bet the gills will like it also. Illinoisgiller aka ole giller

I have used this fly quite a bit since I first tied the pattern this past summer, and yes, it works great. Some days better than others, but I catch at least some fish on it every time i tie it on.
