Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Tied on #10 light wire hooks, weighted.
Body: Sage Green chenille
Hackle: Top half, rooster neck hackle (bottom half used on soft hackle fly- two flies, one feather!)
Tail: Tuft of fluorescent yellow acrylic yarn.
Thread: 6/0 Uni thread.
I've been pondering a small Wooly Bugger, more like a bluegill mouthful. This may be it. If nothing, it certainly is "wooly."

Well, Its a good affliction to have, I suppose.
I've thought about going back to liquor and willing women as a hobby... But, this strikes me as an infinitely safer obsession.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sir Vince.
Two things:
1. I'm intrigued at the idea of downsizing larger flies, to the extent size limits allow.
2. Do it with both "traditional" warm water flies, and with non traditional ones.
I've got my mind fixed on a steelhead streamer on a size 10 hook.

But that's for another day.

Thanks, Tooty. More than a little amazing to me is the size:
Hook eye-to-tail tuft is only 3/4"
The things you can manage through a magnifying lens, you know?
