Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This has got to be the fattest perch I've ever caught. Was fishing the canal for about an hour without a touch. Then, three cast and 3 perch, all about 13.5". This gal was number 2.

LedHed, I prefer slightly larger reels for my UL fishing.  They balance my 7.5'-8' rods better and the larger spool diameter give a bit less line twist.

Slip, I'm using 4# fireline crystal on this setup w/ 6# mono leader.  A bit of insurance when a bigger pickerel comes along.

My bad Steve - should have paid attention to your post, "all about 13.5"." Awesome fish.

Also the "triangle" on the skeleton frame looks huge.

You guys should check out the Smoke series - they don't make a size 10 anymore - the 15 is slightly bigger. It's an off shore reel - but I think it makes a superb UL panfish reel.

Steve; I have a quantum; q-vex 10 reel;;  its small; the same size as a president; ( and I also have a president reel )  excellent reels; both;; and ; the quantum cost half as much as the president !

Thanks for the comments guys!  LedHed, don't be trying to make my perch look small, LOL, that is the larger PTiC25 Quantum reel.  I like it, it's a nice reel for the $60 I paid for it (Cabelas closeout a few years ago).  I miss its not having a switch for the anti-reverse though.
