HEY SHAWN,

COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DRAG THIS PIC to your discussion on ONE BAIT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, AND this one is it for me . Been using these for 25+ years and caught GILLS, RED EARS, CRAPPIE, WALLEYE'S, BASS , STRIPERS , CATFISH  AND BASCIALLY everything that swims in Illinois with this one bait in this color combo of Purple & White..............

Thanks MIke and Rex, on my particular bug I use the larger leg material for a reason.  They stay spread apart a long time and usually don't get tangled in tail material as with more limber leg material. On the new bugs I"m making , these ones with New Age chenille body I wanted a more soft tail approach and Jen told me how to do it. Thanks All..........

David,  Mike's right about the diameter and length.  These on this fly of mine are centipede legs in the mini size.  I like them because a small length has a lot of movement and they look proportional to the size of the fly.  Most fly tying supply stores have them.  Found some elastic cord one time and cut it open and found individual strands about the same size.  I'm always tearing stuff apart to see if there is anything useful for fly tying.  My daughter asked me the other day if I had seen any of her hair bands.... I had to plead the fifth.

I've caught more fish of all species on my Naybee.

Thanks Mike and Rex for the response and both your flies look super!!!!! Another couple things they have in common is simplicity and look super durable also! One thing I would ask you Rex is how do you tie the silly legs in so they are droopy looking like this? I"ve been trying to duplicate that for two weeks now and can't. They always flair on me! I would use them more often but can't figure it out on my own.

This one here would be my choice!!It has caught gills, bass, crappie, catfish and even talapia.  Simple pattern to tie, and works on all the waterways around here.

SIR JEFFREY, I KNOW it ain't fair but you can only pick one!!!!! I had lots of doubts about my selection, but picked the one I've caught more fish on than all the rest combined . I used durability as a factor , color choice, and different species caught as my my three criteria for my selection here. THE MICRO'S OR SILENT STINGERS, were definately a cccccccccccccclose second choice.

LETS START A DISCUSSION : IF YOU WERE ALLOWED ' BY THE BLUEGILL GODS" TO HAVE ONLY ONE BUG TO USE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHAT WOULD IT BE? THIS IS MY CHOICE AND REMEMBER OOOOOOOOOOOOOOLNY ONE TO USE ANY WAY YOU WANT ! SORRY ABOUT ONLY ONE BUT THAT WILL MAKE IT INTERESTING.
