The water im fishing is very clear. Its a trout stream that flows out of Green Lake. Right now the water level is 4 feet lower than the previous couple of years, knee deep water was chest deep 2 years ago, so the numbers of big fish just isnt there. If we have a good rain it will raise the water atleast 2 feet which would bring them big fish down.

Thanks for this post MM! How deep are you fishing and what's the water color usually for your waters? ...looks fairly clear from the photo.Reason I ask is; I 'm fishing stained water with a lot of runoff from this years rains and am trying to tweak tecniques.

Yes finally I have the next 2 sundays off so I will be out fishing. In this spot I have to wade down the river about 2 miles and there are so many northerns that I have to use live bait.
