Well Tom I tried Magic bait and stinkbait but feel hot dogs have served me better.I believe its cheaper also .Not sure.

Yes i do. In Michigan i used to fish this lake that was full of bullheads. We would go out night using the stinkbait and catch them by the dozens. Big boys too. Dont remember what kind there were though. I dont have that pleasure anymore.

LOL !!Tommy ya got my name right!Weren't you calling me Tom before?BULLHEADS EAT HOTDOGS MAN!No mustard no relish or ketchup and no bun. These were Turkey dogs I was using .Gotta double hook with a 1 or1/0 hook and lob them with a split shot pinched 1/8 oz or 1/4 oz slip sinker.Trying to cast heavyhandedly gives them a hookless piece of bait way out there.I gotta try different brands and find some tough skinned dogs that I suspect will be best for this use.
So you are telling me ,you miss Bullhead fishing huh!?

Tommy -This fish was I believe the same species .Pretty certain the same exact fish. Yellow around the mouth...Olive body white chin barbels...What more evidence do we need? Yellow B Head until I see evidence otherwise!

Hey Tom hope this helps got it from a website and nice fish.
Yellow bullhead are typically yellow-olive to slatey-black on the back and sometimes mottled depending on habitat. The sides are lighter and more yellowish while the underside of the head and body are bright yellow, yellow white, or bright white. The rear edge of its caudal fin may be rounded or nearly straight. The yellow bullhead is distinguished from the brown bullhead and black bullhead by its white barbels.

Thanks Tom!
I would like verification from someone more experienced than me .I see this as a good sized Yellow Bullhead identified by white chin barbels which arent seen in the photo.
Are their other noticeable signs here that its a Yellow Bhead?
