I didn't weigh this particular one but I did measure him. I've caught enough channel kitties out of Utah Lake that I've measured and weighed that I have a good idea of their approximate weight based on sex, length, and "gut". A 28" female with a gut will weigh between 8 and 10 pounds. This male was around 32" long and healthy. I would put him near 10 pounds at least.
