it is a very sensitive strike indicator I got from sportsmens direct.
The water was quite stained, but most bluegills i catch have that purple color to some degree

The gills that I catch through the ice are usually all purple like this one or even a lighter pink. Once you ice them and the sun shines on them for a little, they color right up. Seems to be related to water clarity...

Great fish, Michael. Are you using a sensitive strike indicator to fish for these fish in pre-ice conditions?
