a shad dart!  tipped with waxies- good idea jim!  and a real good gill to prove it works!!

It's not much different from what I do much of the year, except that I have better luck tipping with waxies and mealies and not worms. Plus. I'm floating them deeper and trying to 'scrape the bottom' with the bottom jig, the dart, just above or right at the bottom. I put a home made tungsten jig about 16 inches above the dart, and tip it as well.

Scruff...6 ft below a small oval shaped bobber. Slow twitches and let the wind push it along as well. Tipped with a wax worm or mealworm.
