I lived in Orange County most of my life and NEVER fished Perris. I skied there many times but now that I live in Utah I find out about the BULL gills there.

That's right Walt. You know it's crazy... there are so many color variations of the Coppernose in Lake Perris. I have caught and seen blue ones (like this fish), almost black fish, gray ones, kind of a purple color, gold/green with stripes and silver. I think it all depends on water temperature, clarity, spawning modes, depth and age of the fish. Usually though the largest ones are very dark in color. I need a giant aquarium like Bass Pro Shops, just for Bluegill!
