Thanks James Gillette!
Steady very slow swim near bottom in a few FOW Jim . This fish hit the plain Jig as did most of the fish ,or at least half . I started tipping with a few Gulp Maggots after this fish . Another retrieve was a hopping off and settling back to bottom which caught some more Perch . The Bass and Crappie and most of the Perch preferred the slow steady swim, with rod tip low, and hit as it approached the shoreline .The fish made up their minds to hit when there was only about 15 feet ,or less, of line out .I started making longer casts but the same thing happened 15' or less of line out .It got to the point I was just making short casts and getting them .Good hour of fishing and I got cold but have fish to eat .
Wow! Excellent catch in the cold water! What was the pattern of your retrieve? Did you tip the jig? Tell us...TELL US!
NICE bass john
She swam away fine!
I don't like the way I did this .Hope she's alright after release.
