I fly fish for bluegill, weekly. At the risk of showing my lack of knowledge, how do you fish these flies? I use poppers, small spinners and small rubber tubes and grubs on a fly rod. I seem to have pretty good luck, but I'm always looking for a better fishing tactic. Lately I've been having problems catching bluegill due to large mouth bass hitting the lures quicker than the bluegill. Any education will be appreciated.
