3/6/11 Visited Belchers creek flowing into Greenwood lake around 2:45 today.Rain stopped me short got in four casts with a slip floated feather jig/mealworm and that was it.
2) Cupsaw from Shore 1-4pm,3/12..Utilized three rods .1)Shimano Bait Caster 12# test on 5'6"Berkeley Series One jigging rod threw 1/4 oz jig/Bucher leech...hits no fish
hoping for a Lmouth.. jig got tapped several times ,suspected Yellow Perch and Gills and it was game on with mealworms on #10 hooks and thill floats,64th and 32nd oz feather jigs with mealies or twister tails and a light Johnson Spoon with a Twister shad glued to it. 4# test on new Pflueger Reel/ St Croix UL 6' pole and Pflueger UL reel/Shimano Sensilite rod
3) 3/13 Cupsaw from Shore 3:45 nothing happening at same spot as yesterday

about 10 Pseeds NO BGILLS!, 4 or so YPerch.Same three rods used since ice out .No fish on search rod /lures Jig/Bucher reaper,Fiord spoon,KO Wobbler ...Slip floats used Mini stealths w/16th oz Gronaw pink 16th oz critter jig: a Pseed and a YP, #12? hook mealie or spike ,Pseeds,YP
#10 mw,spikes Seeds& YP
Thill Shybite at 4 ' created some problems casting
and tangling but caught fish.
Fish would not take untipped Jig
5)In the low 70's today (3/18) fished noon-1:40. No bait just untipped spoons and untipped ( not even plastics)Jigs at same spot I bait fished and caught fish twice at since iceout.

Nothing on Top spoon searching for big bass,after four fish ;8" PS ,Two-9,3/4"YP,8" BG. on small Gold Hildebrandt ,I broke hook off in Bluegills mouth trying to get it out by hand.Switched to larger Silver Nungesser and caught two dink Bass and one YP.
Jig time produced 4 fish 2 dink Bass 1 YP with zonker/baitfish emulator in 64th oz,nothing on the 32nd oz . and a YP on 16th oz. Yellow head Marabou as the wind gusts got heavier.

Lost 1/4 oz Cast Champ Spoon...
6) 3/20...Nw side only 1 fish a Bgill...went to SE corner and BGills and Pseeds were sunning themselves in 1'-2' of water .Caught about 25 on 32nd oz mini stealth slip float Blue Jay jig /mealie 3' and less, shy bite no shot #14 hook and spikes. 1' below surface (only casts 10-15' w/4# test .Should use 2lb for this setup.Also used Thill 3/8" pencil float .Casts well with 32nd oz.no shot.
7) NW corner nothin using Tube Jig on Bait caster 8#test and two slip float rods .Went to SW incline and hammered 15 Bass and 3 YP 2 Bass and 2YP on purple tube jig .Switched to spoons and realized fish were more aggressive than I thought they 'd be .Caught 13 other Bass and another YP on 3 sizes of Dardevles,Spinnie,Devle Dog and Imp with two flappers.
Effective retreive was Moderatly Slow using constant short wrist snaps darting action.
8) 4/3 with Steve O ist boat trip Cupsaw .Ridiculously windy Each got a Bass using Rattlin' Raps Lost another Bass and Steve got aYperch on jig/worm
Nothing on Slip floated Jig/Worm .Nothin on Dardeve Imps ,Crocodile Spoons
Steve threw Curl tailed Rubber worm,nothin
9)The commercial Marabou got torn up.
1/8th,16thHM Bucktail,HM BT 64th get bit Bby YPerch and Gills.
