Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Aaron Matos' pond produces a goliath redear!

This shellcracker easily tips the scales at two pounds. The biggest I've ever seen!

Look at the helmet on this son-of-a-gun! I should say that this is the biggest I've ever seen..."in person". :-)

LOL! :-)

Trust me...someday we'll be having a get-together. Wish I wasn't building a new dental office right now! It's taking literally 40 hrs/week. Yikes!

This is what we would call a Double Hand Panfish. Doesn't get much better than that. Is this where the Bigbluegill.com reunion is going to be?

This photo still makes me want to just start Riding, stop and cast in every brook, lake and stream i see just to hold a redear in my hands.

It's got what I call a "chainsaw" pattern. I love the vertical banding, and the way it looks like the individual links of a chainsaw.

That fish is sweet, this northerner can only dream of a fish like that.

I need to take a nice long motorcycle ride just to fish some southern states so I can say I finally caught a shellcracker. NICE FISH!
