Actually, the 1/16 th oz jig head may be too small for the hybrids I have located. I have had two fish all but swallow the #3, 1/5 oz Swedish Pimple recently. Looks like a good rig and I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Yes sir, a Thill Center Slider with a 1/16oz plain jighead, tipped with Berkley Glup 2.5" minnow. It seems like a big rig for gills but, it has been working for us. I try to speed past the smaller fish which always are on top of the school.

Hey Bullworm...is that the Thill Center Slider? and are you all using jigs/jigheads tipped with bait? My hybrids are suspended over weedbeds about 7-8 feet down. Got any tips?
