Hey John, That water is quite brown and muddy due to recent rains we've had the past several days....I was using Chartreuse (Lemon Meringue color Kalin triple threat grubs 2 in on 1/32 jigs). Caught probably close to a hundred fish today and it was a 6 species day for me (Y perch, LMB, Bluegills, P-Seeds, Ch Pickerel, Crappie) but almost everything was small??!! No really big ones except for the Perch!!!! Still had alot of fun!!!

Hey John, I've heard fellow NY Anglers and Great Lakes Anglers call the large Yellow Perch (12 inches and over) "Jack Perch" but I do not know where the term comes from. When I was down in Virginia (in Midlothian, just outside Richmond) my old salt fishin buddies would call the Yellow Perch, "Ring Dings" from the term Ring Perch due to the black stripes or "Rings" which are on the Perch's sides where each stripe meets at the belly forming a "Ring".
