Do you love big bluegill?
3/29/15 HOOK GAPES
Different gapes on same size hooks.
top hook is a mustad 94840 size 8 dry fly hook , now I"m going to use these on my old pattern bead heads with rubber legs.
middle hook is a 3261 mustad #10 the old hooks and beads I used on the beadheads for last 20 years
bottom hook is a 9672 mustad #10 . lllllots of difference between it and middle hook with a much bigger gape also . May use it again for the regular bead heads and just gotta see how the top hooks work this year , time will tell.........

Yup Carl big difference and Jeffrey was the reason I"m switching this year. He had me make up some #6 Cotton Candy's last year and the idea stuck with me . It was just a matter of time tilll I switched my production over to the larger gape hook .......
