Fin "bordering" or "fringing" is very common in coppernose bluegill. It's a very cool looking trait. I believe that I've seen some coppernose that lack this characteristic, but there's also a chance that these fish were a combination of standard and coppernose bluegill.

did you get to weigh it? I've heard that cnbg are a bit smaller than the other BG, is that true?

It makes me wonder if Coppernose 'gills could be used to control LMB numbers hitting a crank like that. :)

I think small crank baits are an overlooked and under utilized weapon for trophy gills. Great, GREAT fish!

You sure do. I also liked the FL BG, had really nice colors. I may have to move back to CA though
