Not positive, but that looks like a Yo-Zuri Tad Fry. Great little crankbait, I've caught a lot of nice, not huge, bluegills on them. Cool!

Have you had any luck this year with that lure? I've got a couple like that I want to try.

Wow man you figured them out and they didnt want live bait!!!They are in the shallows by you already!!!

What was the big deal with this bait... what action did the fish want? This is a strange twist ! Was it they were locked on feeding on minnows of this size? What species of fish did you get?

Last friday was my first time out now that the ice is all gone. I went to a littel place called tri-lakes,it is a members only place that is made up of three good size ponds withch is stocked with 1,000 lb. of channel cat every two weeks from the first of april thru the end of october. however they also have a great BLUEGILL,crappie, and large mouth population.
So as usual i headed out with everthing but the kitchen sink waxies, minnows, nightcrawlers, and yes even one last atempt with the glup maggots. i could see hunreds of fish every where, and i through everthing at all of them. I even through out some with out a hook to see what they would eat...they spit the maggots out every time THEY DO NOT LIKE THE GLUP MAGGOTS.
After two hour of frustration i realized they were paying more atention to my slip-float. Ding the light came on i tied on this littel devil and caught 30 fish in the next two hours but i had to move about 10 yard down the bank after each fish they were very spooky even if i walked to quikly they all swam away.
ANYBODY ELSE GOT A EARLY SEASON STORY,TIP,OR TRICK....?????????
