I love the revolution. It is rather on the heavy side as most SOT's are. But I have mastered a technique to get it on top of my car and remove it when I need to. Lifting this beast is all about form not strength for me.
I flip it on its side so that the belly is facing me, grab the handle area and pull up with my arms enough to prop it on my knee. Then I kick upward with my knee and hoist it to either my shoulder if Im going to carry it or the car roof if Im gonna strap it down.
I have fairly strong legs and try to maximize their part in lifting.

as far as the setup goes..It is new for this year. Last year I had a rod holding system for 6 rods...but no cooler. This year I carry 4 rods with 2 holders drilled into the cooler and sealed with silicone.
When I catch a fish I intend to keep I simply reach behind with the hand holding the fish and prop the top open with a knuckle.

for tackle storage I have 2 boxes and 2 tackle bags that fit inside the hull as well as the hobie tackle box that fits the circle hatch. When I need tackle I simply open the hatch and pull the cord attached to the appropriate bag to me.

so far the setup's only drawback is that the humminbird, though comfortably within reach and out of my legs way...is hard to veiw while peddling.

Hey - I've got a hobie kayak too, but I'm so weak in the back that I need two people to launch a one man boat! Few times I've been out have felt wobbly, but what's your opnion of this craft and your setup?

Thanks
