The one pictured is a Black-Barred Olive zonker.  I buy these.  Haven't tried dying zonkers.

Do you get Zonker in that color or do you color it yourself?

Yes, there is a zonker strip on the fly.  Then there's Bruiser Blend dubbing, some of which goes over the zonker.

Jim, I've been watching a LOT of the videos from FlyFishFood on youtube lately.  Been buying some of their merchandise as well :)  This pattern is one of their's.  I haven't cast any of these, yet, but the Shad-colored are definitely very heavy.  I might be able to throw it with a spinning rod.

nice work allan,your pattern?seems the bass feed on bluegills exclusively on the local ponds.how does it cast?

That's what I tied them for :)

I've done some in Shad colors, with mixed results.  A buddy of mine back in OK has been catching a lot of Bass with them.  I can get bites, but no hookups.
