... Ice fishing can be very addictive Carl and its an emotional tug of war between hard and open water fishing. i hate to see it go but glad to see open water start... i hate the wait of transition in-between.
yesterday we experienced back to back record numbers of tagged fish (tag=catch and release). that is tough to do on the ice. commonplace is skunkings out on the ice due to tightly packed schools that are tougher to locate. for me physically more demanding ,more skill and luck required... i like the challenge

SLIP STINKER;; AT THIS TIME OF YEAR;; DONT YOU WISH THAT ICE WOULD GO AHEAD AND MELT ! UN-SAFE ICE WOULD BE GONE; WATER TO WARM UP A LITTLE FASTER;; BETTER FISHING !
