20150417-WIXOM LAKE--A.M. FISHING BRAGGER ROCK BASS AND SMALL NORTHERN PIKE

20150417~~ took about an 1.25 hours this morning to measure the pulse of fish activity at the local bridge since the water level was back to norm... i was pleasantly rewarded with a 92 percentile sized Master Angler 10.6 Rock Bass (Master Angler is 11.5" for this species), small Northern Pike and a large smallie that shook free. what a great morning!
Fish were caught on 1/8 oz jigs with Berkley ripple shad and an orange Mister Twister for the Northern

thanks guys! ... can ya tell im an ex automotive engineer... lol. since ive been concentrating on the Master Angler targets and ive recognized and was influenced by a past post on this site... in most neighborhoods a ten inch BG is a trophy and a nine is a lunker or bragger fish... so ninety percent of 10... just relating to other species targets... rock bass over 10.4 than would be the bragger for the 11.5 inch master angler minimum. just trying to make it more interesting.... lol

'92 percentile sized'...new expression on me! Something like 'not quite, near-miss, just shy, and almost'.

We all have probably caught more 'just shy' fish than we care to admit. Great rocky regardless! Congrats!
