Do you love big bluegill?

I found this photo somewhere, maybe here on this site a few years back. Does anyone know who it's from, where it was caught, and why it has this beautiful pinkish color? I would love to have these in Lake Perris!

not mine but it could be.i catch a lot of gills that color in so illinois.looks to be north as there is a spring bobber on the rod
