the orange on the fins is making me think it's a hybrid. other then that the mouth and "lightning" pattern is like that of a warmouth, although seems way more horizontal then I am used to.

I acually don't have a pond the rock river flows through my backyard, but its the same little river I caught them 12'' Rock bass I posted earlier.

It looks like a healthy fish, about 4-5 inches. Do you feed them? How big is your pond?

I think this may be a HBG, can you see the bars on the sides of the fish, plus they look just like the ones that I stocked in my pond last December, and I just caught a few of them this past Saturday. I need to get my pictures posted.

beautiful fish....i caught a green sunfish in Florida once that weighed almost half a pound....
