The one on the way upper right has a tiny red eartab fringe and a mottled lower operculum classic for bluegill/redear hybrids. They're neat fish. They fight hard and grow fast. I've got several hundred small ones in my Dad's pond.

Lower right, black crappie

Lower center and center, redear sunfish

Upper right, redear/bluegill hybrid

All others, bluegill

there are no green sunfish in there, and the crappie is actually a very pale black crappie

it is a redear....some of the fish I had on ice for over a day. which fish is the green sunfish and how can you tell?
