Actually Rick, we have not kept any fish from this small 1 acre pond, including 21 crappies that have exceeded the 13 inch mark. This is a sweet, cherry hot-spot of a pond, and we want to keep it that way. We have other ponds that we keep 8 to 9 inch gills from for eating.

All of the crappie we have caught the past week are full of roe, but we have not yet seen one in shallow on a nest. Things might change fast, as it was 94 F today and it will be in the upper 70's for the next several days.
