2lb test rules when I fish for Trout in a small local brook! I get the proper distance and sink on a small shot or light beaded nymph my brother ties.Works great!Tough to see so i pinch the line 'tween Thumb and index for those light 'sratches' on the bait or lure. Drop it back and set and they are on .The chubs and suckers are comin this way as well which I dont mind .I like ALL fish.I'm no Elitist!

The 'plain brown wrapper' looks like one of mine.

John, I have been having real good luck on a 1/64 oz chartreuse 'crystal braid' jig with just a sprig of marabou as a tail...fished 30-40 inches below a bobber and allowed to drift with the wind. Tipping with worms or Gulp is optional. Sometimes, I'll free-fall the jig on a tight line and wait for a slight heaviness to the line to indicate a strike. I am fishing this on 2 lb test Troutmagnet SOS mono in green. I think the lighter line has enabled me to sense these extremely light biting fish. I can cast them almost 60 ft with out the bobber.

Pink has also worked well...try them on your crappie lakes.
