I've been buying different threads from different companies trying to find colors that come close to those of a male coppernose bluegill; so far I haven't found the right colors. What appears pink here is actually purple; and the trim that looks red is also that same purple, and, oddly enough, does not appear a different color in person - I don't know if the light was that bad in the room, or the camera was off, or what...
The thread I used for the main wrap did appear cream-colored once it was on the rod; on the spool it looked more peach; it was supposed to be tan! Evidently companies that make wrapping thread don't get hung up on the minor detail of actually having a color be what they advertise it to be...The last rod I made, I tried a thread that was supposed to be "beige," and was actually closer to bone. I'll keep trying till I find those coppernose colors.
HEY WALT,
IIIIIIIIIINTERESTING COLOR COMBINATION ON YOUR WRAP. Is that pink and cream or tan?
Any way you slice it nice work. Very even spiral I might add.
