Great catch IWG!....We have no chain pickerel in Minnesota....just the northern pike...The colors and patterns on these chain pickerel are certainly beautiful and so unique...especially the dark bar that runs through the eye....northern pike don't have that...Again,nice catch!

Love the markings on that fish and on pickerel in general. My brother in law is an avid bass fisherman in Arkansas and is always disappointed when he gets a pickerel. Seems like they consider them a nusiance there. Their sharp teeth have stolen many bass lures...guess that's the reason.
