If you ever want to catch the bluegill of a lifetime and don't mind paying a guide fee for the day, I charge less than some Kentucky Lake guides do, and my bluegill average two to three times the size of what you'll find in any public water around here. Several 24-ouncers were caught last year, along with a 28-oz. and a 31-oz. hybrid, and a couple northern-strain bluegill that might've pushed two pounds each but were not weighed.
