Went bank fishing in Bayou Lacombe with my wife and buddy John. Wife caught a nice bluegill and a small bass on crickets. We didn't do anything else although a guy out there said they were catching bass and crappie.

Water was moving, falling tide, but no other action.

Brim Reaper, not sure about maggots but I've used waxworms which are similar and they work very well. I've caught some large gills and goggle eyes on them at Ross Barnett and some of the tributaries that I fish.

Great pictures I have a freind whos farther use to winter in Florida. He stayed with a freind who hunted and fished so it gave him a chance to experence the real south. I don't think it was leagal but they would target gators about 12 to 15 pounds. He claimed they would fight like crazy and it was some of the best meat he had ever eaten. This would have taken place after WWII. We were never sure if he was telling us the truth or not. He would use chunks of chicken for bait.
Did you ever here of anything like that. I have not heard the redears called chinks before. We only have one small lake in vermont that had red ears stocked in .

What is the fish chink. post a picture if you would. Also I need a motherday gift for my mother in law if you had a 12 foot gator and could part with it sounds about perfect for her. The only problem is they may get along just fine.
