Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

...

If you are not using swim baits this time of year you are missing out! This time of year I am tagging Northern Pike, White Bass, Crappie, Small Mouth and Largemouth Bass on the Berkley Olive Green Ripple Shad swim bait specifically. I swim it, scratch the bottom, troll it, work it through different levels of the water column, hop it and rip it fast through the swim. Deadly, deadly and deadly!

Some great articles by In-Fisherman relative to swim baits.

ive been raving about my success with the Berkley Ripple Shad now for three years ... and it looks like In-Fisherman and i both agree... there it is one of their top picks.

Gonna have to bring my swimbaits  to Chippewa Bay ,1000 islands NY  in September and see how they produce . The ability to work them through the column at various speeds is a great testament to their versatility. I have to pick up some slimmer profiles as the ones I have are Storm fatter bodies .They work also and are good Summer baits .

Good luck on that trip John... sounds like a blast.

I consider it an all season bait especially in the spring and fall.

Slip,

You are going to make a brutha spend some hard earned cash on some swimbaits this week and give them a try. Those ripple shads look very realistic IMO

thanks Mo... if you have Musky, pike, SMB, LMB, Walleye, White Bass, and large Crappie in your waters this thing will tag em... hope you have good luck

John ... did you try the  swim baits?
