Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Being a new fly tier I am wondering where everyone gets their supplies at. B. Pro is about 40 mi. each way from me, and that's about the only place I know of around here to buy stuff. With gas the way it is and all, I think I could do as well online even with shipping costs, but I'm not sure of the best place to go. Any Suggestions?

I am quite the fan of Fin and Feather Fly Shop. I have visited their brick and morter shop and they are straight up nice folks. I have gotten the catalog and it has most all you would ever need.

Thanks for your replies, I will check these places out.

I would also recommend J Stockard Fly Fishing.  Great site.  You can view it here: http://www.jsflyfishing.com/

They ship very fast and have low prices.  Great stuff!

EDIT: They only charge 5 bucks for shipping under 100 dollars.  Cant beat that.

If you are not concerned with personally inspecting your materials before purchasing, you can go with any number of online or mail-order catalogs, such as: Bass Pro Shop, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, www.feather-craft.com, www.jsflyfishing.com. Now you really only need to inspect the quality of feathers, hairs, and furs; inspecting tools maybe.

Hi  i use Bears den in mass. also  J Stockard, It's hard to get material in Maine,we lost 6 fly shops sad to say. I also get some tying material at Cabela's and LLBean and Eldridge Bros. good luck Sleepy

I went online to J Stockard, and ordered some supplies. Found a 5.00 online coupon and had 5.00 in bonus points. I like their selection and the fact that shipping on orders under 100.00 is a flat 5.00 shipping fee. I couldn't drive to B Pro for 5.00 .  Thanks again for your replies to this post.

I order from www.jannsnetcraft.com

Jann's Netcraft is your complete source for fly tying supplies and body material, bug and popper bodies, dubbing, necks, feathers, fly tying feathers, flashabou, eyes, fly tying hooks, fly tying kits, fly tying books, thread, tools, hair, fur and head cement.

Another good place that I buy from in Wisconson is ...  http://www.tackle-craft.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?display=home   good luck .

We need to post a list somewhere of all the places to buy supplies that we know of. It would be a help to all of us.
