what's your favorite bluegill? 3 Replies

My favorite bluegill is the coppernose, but I'd like to know in general, under the same conditions, are coppernose bluegill smaller than regular bluegill, or red ear, or pumpkinseed?

I've been fishing here in south-central KS since Feb with mixed results. I concentrate on crappie and bluegill and catch the occasional accidental catfish or bass. I've been hearing that the walleye on one of my favorite lakes just north of here have been very active. One of these days (nights) I'm going to head in that direction and see what that is all about.
