Winter Bluegill Fishing
Can anyone fill me in on where do the bluegills go during the cold winter months? Come spring time they are easy to pattern but after the spawn they seem to disappear!

They go up north and gather around those little holes our northern friends drill for 'em. Probably because most of us down here quit feedin' 'em when the air temps drop below 65 here.

I haven't done much ice fishing or really cold water fishing; but I've read that should check about a foot off bottom in the body of water's deepest holes.

Fishing off the bottome worked great in Nov. Now in Dec. the bluegill won't even nibble. I think Texas Bluegill don't like the cold any more than I do.
