Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This is probably as good as it'll get for us folks in the Midwest and most other parts of the country. It's Mid-October and the Full Moon's here. I really like to get out this week and hammer the bluegill/redear. They seem  to really be feeding for the winter and the full moon also juices their activity even more.

I'm going to try and get out tomorrow and maybe Thursday time permitting. I figure I've only got a couple of really good weeks left for gills/ears and then it's crappie season. I don't crappie fish a whole lot but need to get into it some more. It's a LONG time between now and April....

Amen to that Troy. I feel the same way in North Carolina. I got out there today because of the holiday but our coastal weather takes a turn for the worst tonight so I hope to salvage a  few more good trips before Halloween. I saw a three degree increase in water temps from Saturday and it made a difference.

Im like you - I have a week right now. With rain for today and tomorrow. Dang!!!

But, it should lessen starting tomorrow...
