Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

hi guys,

Im tying up some jigs getting ready for open water. using 1/64 and 1/32 oz ball heads on matzuo sickle hooks. i want to order some materials for tying gills jigs.

what would you recommend as far as colors go or combinations of colors? any best producers or top colors over the years. i know that one fella o here tears em up on pink.( he fished dark stained water) the waters i fish though are clear to a green tint.

few colors i have been told are black and purple, red

i just seen the other post below on colors. sorry

by adding some krystal flash-- and rubber legs-- really helps  to Smoltz!!    chartuse/ black/red/ white/pink/  are all excellent colors.  depends a lot on your area as to what gills  like.

YELO... Not Chartreuse YELO Always my first choice...

Wasn't it Tap Tapply who remarked, Any color fly (or jig) works on panfish, as long as it's yellow.
