Do you love big bluegill?
Summer bluegill and speckled perch
Decent action this morning. No bass, even though I cast a popper for 40 minutes before sunrise. No hits or misses, either.
Bluegill bite was off compared to the other day. However, I found them at mid-morning. Caught 15 hand-sized bluegill and one speckled perch (black crappie). All came on my Myakka Minnow.
The speck was caught in a feeder creek around a submerged bush.
Home by noon.
