Rod of my Dreams

Well, everyone, I finally got the rod of my dreams, that I've wanted since I was in grade school - 40 years of waiting has paid off: a 9 foot Nightcrawler Secrets rod, built by Vanguard on a Fenwick FL108-9 blank.  As described, it bends all the way into the handle in one smooth arc and can probably put a bare nightcrawler into lunar orbit :-)

I don't know how many NS rods they sold all together, but I've only seen 3 come up on eBay in the last year and a half - this one, a 7 foot model that I also won, and another 9 foot that I didn't win. This one now takes its place alongside the 5 foot model that I bought in middle school.

My 8 year old asked me if she can have it some day; I said when she inherits it or I'm so old I can't fish anymore :-)

I'm taking some time off next week, can't wait to try this baby out!
