yeah if u look up kentucky afield on youtube they have a vidoe on bluegill fishing!!

Crickets, crickets, crickets, then get a tall glass of crickets, and then you will have fish, fish, fish, fish, fish!

Reelfoot is feautered in Steve Wunderle's book, "Bluegill."

As I recall, low docks and structure close to deep water were mentioned.

Hey, thanks guys!!

I would strongly recommend that you stop at the Grizzly Jig shop in Caruthersvile, Mo. across the Mississippi river from Reelfoot. They know the lake and live on it's shores. You should get sound advice on the type of area to fish for the season you are there.

If you are getting a 3 day package w/boat expect to be off the water for a day or so due to wind.  When you are in open water with no danger of hitting a sunken stump-THINK AGAIN . lol   There is no such area at Reelfoot.

Bring a good camera to capture as best you can the awesome beauty of Reelfoot.

from what i can tell they hang out around cypress and weed lines.  probably as shallow as that lake any thing around shore line would be a good start.

is this lake reelfoot in kentucky?

Reelfoot is in north west Tenn.
Just got back from reelfoot on friday. Use jigs and waxworms most of the time tried  Gulp crickets and minnows. They worked well on both crappies and bluegills. Some big gills on the minnows. There is so much cover just start fishing and you will find them. Also if the wind is blowing get into the lillypads and you can do pretty good.
Use 1/32 oz. Grizzly jigs tipped with wax worms. Fish the shore line around cypress knees, trees and lily pads. Crickets work well when it gets warmer. Keep an eye on the depth and which side of the cover you catch fish on because you can pattern pretty well. Reelfoot has subtle current and fish are affected by it.
I have been to Reelfoot several times and the best way to catch bluegills there is to get there. I love the place and I use a flyrod.
