Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

These Redear were all caught under my boat making love, they were right up against the shoreline all caught with a net, they all averaged 10" plus biggest one being over 11"  enjoy!

You caught these fish with a net?...Ah Maybe I shouldn't say this but is that a legal method there?  Wouldn't it be so much more fun casting to them and hooking them on a rod and reel??  Big REs put up a really good fight...
Here is the real story, we were camped out on a boat access only site & the water under the boat was clear and only 2 feet deep. These fish could see us we could see them, also they were mating right up against the shoreline under my boat in front of our camp site. We tryed rod and reel it didnt work, id would have much rather caught them that way. my girlfriend suggested we use the net and thats what we did, and its legal. All the bluegills we caught were on rod and real because they werent starting to mate yet and we were more invisible to them. thanks for your honesty, but im not going argue with my girlfriend id rather fish. :)
