Just got back into fishing for Bluegill, had an Ultralight spinning rod made and have been having lots of fun fishing my local lakes for Bluegill and Bass.
Tiny crankbaits have really been the ticket, they seem to thin out the smaller fish and rarely do I catch little gills on them.
Caught about 30 BG today, most were in the 7 - 8 inch range but a few nicer ones also showed themselves, including this 10" Specimen.
I love fishing crankbaits, goes back to my pike fishing days home in the UK.
I Like to fly fish too, but the crankbaits really seem to sort out the quality fish.
