Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Thinking about moving from the UP of Michigan to a more moderate climate with lots of gills. Open for suggestions all.

I generally used a 9 ft 5 weight fly rod for the Llano river. light enough that bream are fun, but you can handle the occasional 10 lb carp or catfish.

For the ponds and lakes I had rods ranging from 2 to 10 wt. just depended on the pond, and my mood. Right tool for the job.

Never used a 9" rod most of mine are 8" 5"

Sounds like fun , I prefer flyrod and have a 4wt, 6wt and a 9wt; thanks for the information

West Tennessee where I live lots of fishing options. Kentucky Lake, Reelfoot Lake, Mississippi River, Tennessee River and many small State Managed Fishing Lakes along with the TVA managed Beech River watershed lakes. Lots of Yankees settle around Paris Tn. so you won't be lonely.

Thanks Keith I will check those places out my friend

Check out Lexington for it's various small lakes and it's proximity to the Tennessee River. Parsons and Decaterville are in the area. Savannah is close to Pickwick Lake. All of these are in southern part of West Tennessee. Paris along with Springville, Buchanan, Camden and Eva are to the North on Kentucky Lake.

That is a good option. Thanks much and Carl says no state tax

That's why Tennessee is so weird. I couldn't figure, all the Yanks are up there. Goodness!

You mean improved

RICK;; ONE OTHER SMALL THING ABOUT TN.;;   ITS A ; NO STATE TAX STATE !
