Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Where are you when it comes to fishing with Micro Tungsten jigs and micro plastics?... is it a fad?

Great article on ice panfishing in Jan-Feb 2015 issue of In-Fisherman

Don’t forget alot of these ice fishing tips are some-what applicable in the open water vertical jigging!

Nice tie Jim... i like that particular color...

are those tungsten beads?

uv paint?

thanks SS these are the protos for these.gave some better more refined ones in a a few colors to my son to try out.tungsten glow bead on a #14 60 degree jig hook.wide gap very sharp.the dressing is senyo shaggy dub.its a very tiny silicone material that is super stretchy and strong, has a ton of subtle movement, ice is deteriorating here at the moment so hope we can test these this week as the temp drops.i only have the shaggy dub in yellow black and chartreuse.i think these are going to be a great open water bait too.

thats the ticket!

have you tried pink?

I have not. The white worked well for me today. I blogged it.

I gave it a quick read before I headed out. I was pretty pleased with the simple rig I used today. I also picked up a few slip floats the other day that will float a little heavier jig.

Just picked up a few packs of these on sale at one of my my favorite suppliers.... after reviewing the video im giving these a solid go on my next outing... i was wondering if any one had any prior experiences rigging etc? the wacky worm feature or presentation has got my focus.

micro jigging the gills... tungsten jig and pink GULP Maggot

micro jigs catch some larger species as well... bonus bass

hey it was a slim bass at just over 15"... but what a ride on that micro lite tackle!!

Reloading on the Tungsten... cant wait to try these out!
