Lower otay lake

Has anyone ever fished at lower otay. If so where is a good place to go

Yes... If you are in a boat head into the Harvey Arm on the north east side of the lake. Fish the tules/reeds in about 8 to 10 feet of water or on the outside points of these plants in deeper water for the larger Bluegill. Use a 4 lb test line, and use a dropshot rig with a size 8 Mosquito hook about 18 inches above a # 7 round split shot sinker. Use live crickets as bait, but large mealworms and waxworms will work also. Fish on the bottom, but keep your line tight to see the bites. There's some giants in there! In fact, the Ca state record Bluegill came from Lower Otay. Can I go with you? Ha!
