Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Here in Michigan the ice is going fast, but I had 2 days that were awesome.Nailed 32 fish on Thursday, and 18 on Friday.Gills and specks.A 12 inch speck on light tackle is a blast.I can't believe what small of hook they bit on.Size 14 sparkle glow was THEE hook. That should hold me till I can get the boat out.Think Spring!!!

Our water is 61 already. Crappie are turnin on. I cant wait. only one more month. Aprils full moon should set them in this year. WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I love it in the south. 10 months of non stop cricket stinkin bream bustin with no ICE.
Friends and I fished last ice on Friday....temps were approaching 60 deg as we fished in sweat pants, tennis shoes and flannel shirts.....see video link below.

Our ice is done at least in this part of the state.I brought my shanty in out of the truck a will work on putting the rest of my gear away.I hate this, not enough to go out on but too much for open water fishing.
