Awright Bruce! Now I'm going to post mine to the same tune and show everyone how there are lots of ways to tune a Big Bluegill. Mine is different, but yours is better!

Tune: “12 days of Christmas”

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me; a big bluegill making my line sing.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me; two chilled wasp nests
And two big bluegills making my line sing.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me; three sacks of catalpa worms,
Two chilled wasp nests and three big bluegills making my line sing.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; four boxes of red worms,
Three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and four big bluegills making my line sing.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love gave to me;
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and five big bluegills making my line sing.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and six big bluegills making my line sing.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me; seven packs of tru-turns, six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and seven big bluegills making my line sing.

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; eight rubber legged foam spiders, seven packs of tru-turns, six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and eight big bluegills making my line sing.

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; nine tiny crawfish, eight rubber legged foam spiders, seven packs of tru-turns, six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and nine big bluegills making my line sing.

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love gave to me; ten popping bugs, nine tiny crawfish, eight rubber legged foam spiders, seven packs of tru-turns, six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and ten big bluegills making my line sing.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me; eleven new bream busters, ten popping bugs, nine tiny crawfish, eight rubber legged foam spiders, seven packs of tru-turns, six beetle spins,
FIVE HUNDRED CRICKETS!
Four boxes of red worms, three sacks of catalpa worms, two chilled wasp nests and eleven big bluegills making my line sing.

On the twelfth day of Christmas the last big bluegill gave to me; a court order to cease fishing in this lake!!!!!!

Your lyrics are  really funny Bruce .We need a Bluegill Christmas album.Maybe William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy can sing on it !!!

Tune: Jolly Old Saint Nicholas

Jolly Ole Big Fat Bluegill

Jolly Ole Big Fat Bluegill
Swim over this way
Don’t you bite no other bait
Come give mine a taste

Christmas Eve is coming soon
And my long lost friend
I’ve got a nice gift for you
Eat it if you can

Boogie wants a Big Bluegill
So he can take a pic
Post it on Big Bluegill dot com
Make all them gillers sick

As for you my cautious friend
It’ll be all over quick
Enjoy my bait just this one time
All I want is your pic
Okay, Here it goes: To the lyrics and melody of Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas".

"I'll catch a big bluegill for X-mas.
I get so thrilled just thinking about it.
Jigs and spinners so bright at the end of my ultralite.
Yes, I'll have a big, big, big, big Bluegill.

Thank you, thankyou very much. Nick.
This is the Frosty Snowman song.

Coppernose the Bluegill had a big knot on his nose,
When you tried to catch him he would swim away and strike a insulting pose,

Coppernose the Bluegill was a 2 pound gill they say,
He was fed fish pellets and giant nightcrawlers just about every day,

There must have been some steroids in the worms they found,
For when he was seen he was 12 inches around,

Oh, Coppernose the Bluegill, was alive as he could be;
and the fisherman say he could break your line,
just the same as a big smallie.

Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump, thump, look at coppernose play with your bait.
Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump, thump, look at coppernose steal your bait.

Coppernose the Bluegill, knew the sun was hot that day,
so he said" Let's swim, and we're go under those docks,
and take some of those rocks.

Down to the flats, with a rock in his mouth,
Swimming here and there looking for the biggest female on the beds from the south,
saying fisherman catch me if you can.

He led them down the beds of the flats, right to the last bed,
and only paused a moment, when he had heard where a fly had laid,

For coppernose, the Bluegill had to hurry on his way,
But he swam away saying dont cry, fisherman
Ill fall for your fly some day.
This is a funny game. Lots of creative minds on here... ;-)
Is they a difference in creative and compulsive? 'Cause some of us might not can stop!

Hey Bruce, there's lots more songs you ain't messed with yet.
OK Tommy. You ain't half bad with your rhymin'. But how good are you?

You live down near orange groves, rhyme something with orange in your next entry. You ain't got to 'cause you're already on the nice list. Ole Santaboogie just wants to see how good you are. I hope you squeak in with a rhyme for it. Got to be a Christmas jingle with Big Bluegill in it too!

This might be the strangest Ha Ha!!!

Tune: “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”

Warning Warning...... Do Not Visualize Grandma In Action, She Will Get Stuck In Your Head

Grandma Got Throwed Back By A Big Bluegill

Grandma got throwed back by a big bluegill.
That Christmas she went fishin’ in her birthday suit.
Now your first thought may be “Don’t Look Ethel”,
But Grandma said she thought it was a hoot!

What A Hoot!

She’d been guzzlin’ white lightning,
From her faverit quart fruit jar.
When a hot flash overcome her,
And she shucked her clothes and flung ‘em in the far!

In The Far!

Grandma got her can of crickets,
Plus her skinny limber pole.
And tore off nekkid through the thicket,
To the fishin’ spot she called her honey hole!

Her Honey Hole!

Well she baited up her cricket,
Slung it way out from the bank.
And it was just the ticket,
‘Cause that big bluegill gave it a big ole yank!

Big Ole Yank!

Grandma gripped her pole lots harder,
While big bluegill headed deep.
When her pole went underwater,
She kept hangin’ on and went into the drink!

In The Drink!

She was water skiing barefoot,
While big bluegill pulled her ‘round.
Till a left turn too sharp he took,
And he throwed her back up out onto the ground!

On The Ground!

Well she pulled him up there with her,
Made her mind up then and there.
They weren’t going out fer dinner,
‘Cause she didn’t have a blessed thing to wear!

Thing To Wear!

No we did not take no pictures.
Grandma was wet from head to tail!
Neither did we weigh or measure,
Before we ate that big ole bluegill she had nailed!

Gill She Nailed!

The Old Ladies League sent the sheriff,
To take Grandma nekkid off to jail.
Guess those ladies never figured,
We would bribe him with a piece of Grandmas’……
……crispy fried bluegill tail!

Piece Of Tail!

If you’re horrified we ate him,
Ending his strain on our plates!
Don’t go worryin’ over nuthin’,
We inbred more in our own Red Nekkid Lake!

Tommy-This ones a run for your 'strangeness' money !LOL!

I know its a no-contest, but if I had to vote, Tommy Winton would get mine!
