Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

It won't be long before the crappie bite here in Alabama is back on. I mean the daytime bite..You can still catch crappie at night here under bridges or around standing timber if you are willing to give up that nightly snoozing. I use to but now I just wish I could. LOL. Anyway I was wondering if you folks are still finding good Bluegill numbers in your area, and are they good size. Me and a buddy went Friday and took another hundred pretty good Bluegills and still in fairly shallow water fishing 3 feet deep. Went back Saturday and keep around 25. Kind of felt bad about taking so many as I was cramming them into my freezer for those cooler days of winter when the bite is slow. This lake has literly thousands of these in the 8 to 10 ounce range. They really need to be taken out. I found one thing that is kind of puzzeling though. At 8 feet deep all over the lake my graph was showing fish. I tried crickets, jigs, and small crank baits. I also tried some cut bluegill strips thinking it may be channel cats but with no luck. I guess I will find out next week. I taking anything that will catch a fish from minnows to chicken livers. I have to know what by the hundreds are down there at 8 feet deep. You may be right I may be crazy, but they are fish and I want one...HHHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
